Poly Category ACM for Switzerland & Austria (m/f/d)
Description -
The Poly Area Category Manager (ACM) will drive our 4P planning & execution, business management, and product lifecycle across the Poly portfolio, to drive business results in Switzerland and Austria.
In this position you will be pivotal to enabling an effective execution & growth of Poly business across the portfolio through collaboration across the sales, marketing, product, supply chain & finance organizations.
This role is responsible for product line management and contribution to defining business plans and growth strategies, including driving the promotional planning; pricing strategy; RTM growth plans; and product lifecycle. The role collaborates with internal teams for seamless execution and monitors KPIs to identify improvement areas.
The role demonstrates a broad understanding of product categories, gathers customer feedback, and builds relationships with partners. Experience in collaboration technology and working with sales & channel partners is essential.
Responsibilities:
Contributes and actively participates in defining the category business plan and strategies to drive growth and profitability.
Collaborates with various internal teams from marketing, sales, and finance to ensure seamless execution of category plans.
Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales performance to identify areas for improvement.
Drives the quarterly game plan & execution to achieve business goals.
Manages product lifecycle for Poly portfolio in country (including NPI & EOL management).
Demonstrates a broad understanding of product categories, business management, and sales challenges/strategies.
Gathers and analyzes customer feedback and data to understand customer needs, preferences, pain points, and translates insights into actionable improvements.
Builds relationships and represents the team at a senior level with the sales force and other partners.
Holds responsibility for product line and quota management for a significant share of the product range or a specific customer segment.
Oversees functional responsibilities in areas such as market analysis, marketing engagement, etc.
Who you are?
Education and Experience Required:
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in category management, P&L management, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
IT industry knowledge of collaboration technologies, strategy and channel partner ecosystem.
Business planning skills, multidimensional.
Financial planning and modelling skills, comfortable to manage high complexity business planning and reporting.
Strong communication skills at senior management internally and externally.
Knowledge of promotional marketing processes and practices.
Negotiation skills and ability to frame the product value proposition to customers/partners.
Business fluent in German and English; knowledge of French is advantageous.
