Our Werthenstein BioPharma site in Schachen is where we conduct cutting-edge research, develop and analyze new biological agents, produce new products and supply clinical trial products for global clinical studies. The site is also home to one of our global forensic laboratories where we carefully monitor our products through the supply chain to ensure security and safety for our patients.
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced communications professional to join our team as the Site Communications and Coordination Lead at our Schachen site. Reporting directly to the Site Head, you will be the central point of contact for all internal and external communications, playing a pivotal role in shaping our organizational narrative. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing a variety of communication initiatives, including internal news updates, Q&As, and web content. Your expertise in writing and storytelling will be essential as you manage publication processes across multiple corporate channels.
Main Tasks
1. Central point of contact and responsible for the planning and execution of internal and external communications such as internal news, Q&As, Swiss Country Council, web content, etc.
2. Writing, storytelling, copywriting, translation coordination, proofreading, approval for publication via various corporate channels
3. Design and drive internal ways of communication and organize internal employee events (Townhalls, Global partner meetings, etc.) and oversee its implementation
4. Facilitate cross-functional meetings (e.g. site coordination team, site Tier) including meeting preparation, presentations and follow-ups.
5. Manage Schachen’s site calendar and organize visits and facility tours (e.g. visits on site of stakeholders, authorities, global partner, interest groups etc.)
6. Be a liaison for employees, functional area leads, site head and partner (e.g. global partner, Swiss Country Council)
7. Works closely together with other Swiss sites to align on country-wide initiatives and communication
Requirements and Qualifications
1. 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
2. Bachelor’s degree in business administration management, Communication, or related field
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
4. Stellar writing skills for drafting, reviewing and editing communications over several channels
5. Great facilitation skills, managing workshops and meetings in a moderating style
6. Independent approach to problem solving with strong interpersonal skills and high capacity for productive collaboration across various departments
7. Strong planning and project management skills with hands-on and can-do attitude
8. Excellent time management and ability to work on multiple projects in parallel
9. Preferred: solid understanding of the pharma business and its needs
10. Leadership experience desired (professional and/or personal)
