Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the effective coordination of the material (components) until his release to production, including the following steps: planning/purchasing, delivering on time the right quantity at the right place, receiving prioritization, quality clearance, to continuously supply the production needs without any interruption or shortage.
2. Prepares purchase orders for raw material, component and related items according to procedures.
3. Takes appropriate action in resolving discrepancies in order quantity, price and seeks corrective action on late deliveries.
4. Responsible for the relationship with the supplier in case of non-conformity related to components including: RTV, Credit Note request.
5. SME for external & internal audit on all purchasing aspects, best practice and Oracle usage, SPOC for financial requests (e.g. PWC audit).
6. Core team member for project related to purchasing activities.
7. Acts as back-up in the absence of the Supply Chain Manager.
8. Assists departments in defining purchasing needs and resolving associated problems.
9. Supplier management: support sourcing activities, receive and interview vendor representatives to keep abreast of developments, service, quality, or other matters.
10. Develop and investigate new sources of supply, make recommendations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5 years of relevant experience.
2. APICS certification a plus.
3. Strong organization skills and an aptitude for planning.
4. Accuracy with attention to detail.
5. Proactive approach.
6. Able to work with limited supervision.
7. Proficient user of MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
8. Fluent in French and English.
9. Can drive continuous process improvements.
10. Ability to translate complex situations into simple working solutions.
