Legal Department
For motivated candidates, we offer the chance to belong to one of the world’s largest producers and marketers of commodities and to be part of our Corporate Service Team which is a specialized, international and diverse team within the Legal Department.
The role
* Administration of the Glencore group's companies which includes document execution requests of all types (e.g. NDAs or Engagement Letters) and ensuring that legal records are maintained (including constitutional documents, share certificates, share registers, minute books, register of directors etc.)
* Maintenance of our legal entity database (GEMS -Global Entity Management System)
* Maintenance of various trackers on SharePoint and filing system on OpenText (EnterpriseConnect)
* Assistance with drafting, reviewing, approving and/or issuance of standard legal documentation (e.g. Powers of Attorney)
* Review, preparation and monitoring of KYC (Know your Counterparty) and Due Diligence requests from commercial counterparties and banks
* Participate in collaborative efforts with team members as well as internal stakeholders (e.g. Legal, Accounting, Finance, Compliance, various business departments) to support legal ad-hoc and project work (e.g. corporate service support during an M&A transaction)
* Liaising with various third parties such as our Registered Administrators globally (to support the maintenance of the administration of our Glencore group companies), external lawyers and notaries, Federal & Cantonal register of commerce and State Chanceries
* Setting up lines of communication between various stakeholders acting as reviewers and approvers of requests for document execution
* Support with the incorporation and liquidation of Glencore group’s companies
* Assistance with bank account openings for Glencore group companies

Minimum requirements
* A solid educational background
* 2-3 years of experience in a similar office/administration role
* Good verbal and written communication skills in English (corporate language)
* Holding a Swiss work permit or passport holder of CH / EU

Against a restated 2019 baseline, we are targeting to reduce our Scope 1, 2 and 3 industrial emissions by 15% by the end of 2026, 25% by the end of 2030, 50% by the end of 2035 and we have an ambition to achieve net zero industrial emissions by the end of 2050, subject to a supportive policy environment.
