Experienced Accountant – Global Compliance & Reporting
We are seeking a skilled and experienced accountant to join our Global Compliance & Reporting team in Lausanne.
About the Role:
* Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities in accordance with Swiss GAAP.
* Ensure accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information.
* Prepare statutory financial statements in line with Swiss GAAP standards.
* Ensure compliance with applicable standards, rules, and internal controls.
* Stay updated with the latest developments in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
* Manage relationships with client auditors and respond to audit requests.
* Supervise and train junior team members and support them in regular activities such as vendor invoice processing, bank account reconciliation, and account reconciliation.
* Assist with implementing new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines.
* Identify areas for process improvement and implement enhancements.
* Safeguard operations and maintain client confidentiality by protecting financial information.
* Conduct variance analysis.
* Lead client meetings and ensure ongoing communication.
Your Profile:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 4 to 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or controlling, ideally with exposure to international clients.
* Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
* IFRS knowledge is highly advantageous.
* Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel; recent experience with SAP (S4Hana), NetSuite or Workday is a plus.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French (German is a plus).
* Ability to present complex analyses clearly, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization.
* Strong ability to prioritize tasks and adhere to strict reporting deadlines.
