Job Summary
Manage mental healthcare activities in a hospital or project setting, providing care for victims of sexual violence and ensuring regular follow-ups with patients. Lead a mental health team, training and supervising staff to maintain neutrality during sessions.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate mental healthcare services for entire facilities
* Deliver care to survivors of sexual violence
* Maintain regular check-ins with patients
* Oversee and train the mental health team
* Ensure team members remain impartial during sessions
* Promote interpreter training on terminology and behavior
* Identify mental health needs within target populations and develop strategic plans
* Catalog existing mental health services from NGOs, community groups, and government agencies
* Address potential advocacy and protection concerns
* Integrate mental health departments into counseling and prevention activities
* Ensure proper treatment for psychiatric patients, including medication and psychosocial support
* Implement MSF standard mental health protocols
Requirements
* Master's degree in clinical psychology
* Two years of relevant professional experience, including behavioral techniques or counseling
* Recent clinical experience (at least six months within the last 24 months)
* Experience working with vulnerable individuals in diverse cultural contexts
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Fluency in English and/or French
* A minimum commitment of three months
