The Armadillo resort team is at the heart of all our guest’s experiences, representing the Armadillo brand throughout the resort, delivering luxury service to the highest standards.
Our Chalet Hosts are incredibly important to the guest experience, providing in-chalet concierge, creating the right ambience and overall feel during the stay, while providing daily housekeeping to the highest standards. The Chalet Host role can be demanding and varies day to day, with guests’ communication prior to arrival to ensure we deliver a tailored experience.
Chalet Hosts work alongside a Chalet Chef, across a variety of luxury properties. Schedules are changeable depending on guest bookings, chalets booked, and check-in times.
A successful candidate will need to have strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests and team members of all ages and cultures. An outgoing, positive personality will suit the demanding nature of this role. Time management skills, and working calmly in a pressurized environment, while taking pride in the small details that elevate the guest experience are also must-haves.
Responsibilities:
1. Strong customer service: anticipating and understanding guest needs and expectations.
2. Preparing, setting up, and servicing all meals, including breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening meals.
3. In-chalet concierge: pre-arrival communication with guests, providing knowledge of resort and mountain offerings, and booking concierge activities.
4. Socializing with guests in the chalet, creating a warm and welcoming ambience.
5. Performing daily housekeeping, which includes cleaning, changing linen, and reporting maintenance issues in properties.
6. Conducting preseason, midseason, and end-of-season property deep cleaning, inventories, and maintenance reports.
7. Catering: confident preparation and service of a comprehensive cooked breakfast and afternoon tea selections.
8. Collecting, analyzing, and reacting to guest feedback.
9. Budgeting and stock management: safely handling Armadillo money or cards and accurately uploading all receipts.
10. Ensuring the highest health and hygiene standards are met.
11. Completing weekly guest preference feedback, damage deposit feedback, and accurately reporting guest billable activities.
12. Adapting to a varied schedule, working across several luxury properties, and with a number of team members.
Always present a positive image of Ski Armadillo, wearing uniform or chef whites as highlighted in the team guidebook.
Demonstrate teamwork, collaborating and supporting colleagues such as Chalet Chefs, Resort Chauffeurs, and Housekeepers where appropriate to deliver the highest level of service, exceeding our guests’ expectations.
Requirements:
Must Have:
1. EU Passport or valid work/residency permit for the country of work.
2. Luxury service experience of 2 years or more, with either luxury ski chalet, Michelin restaurant, or super yacht experience.
3. Knowledge of ski resorts/season life.
4. Fluent in English.
5. Available for the full winter season, November to April.
