Our Quality Manager for the DACH Region is accountable for managing Global Quality personnel in the DACH region and responsible for executing all Global Quality projects assigned to Quality International. As the Swiss fvP (Swiss Responsible Person, RP), you are authorized to supervise and make decisions on the entire quality management system of the Swiss branch, oversee production at contract manufacturers and external pre-wholesalers, and supervise outsourced GDP/GMP-relevant activities in the area of regulatory affairs.
Your role
The overall objective of the Quality Manager DACH role is to ensure quality oversight and compliance across affiliates and partners within the DACH region. This includes developing and maintaining the GxP Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with LEO Pharma's 2030 strategy and supporting regional quality development. The role requires alignment with Global Quality and key stakeholders, as well as regional and affiliate goals.
The Quality Manager is responsible for strategy deployment in Region International and ensuring quality compliance. Additionally, the role involves supervising external partners, managing quality agreements, handling customer and supplier complaints, and supporting global supplier audits.
The Quality Manager also provides pharmaceutical and quality information, relevant training, acts as a GDP back-up for Austria.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Lead according to LEO Pharma's Code of Conduct and values.
2. Implement Global Quality Strategy and pursue related goals.
3. Support regional and affiliate goals.
4. Manage the Quality DACH budget and set departmental targets.
5. Ensure timely and budget-compliant project execution.
6. Develop and maintain Quality Management Systems.
7. Ensure high competency levels in the department.
8. Manage personnel, including goal setting, development plans, training, and pay reviews.
9. Address and act on LEO Voice feedback.
10. Monitor and meet MyQMS KPI targets.
11. Maintain good stakeholder relations and resolve issues efficiently.
12. Participate in compliance forums and share best practices.
13. Engage in quality international team and leadership meetings.
14. Lead or participate in improvement initiatives.
15. Coach and develop employees.
16. Attend relevant SLT meetings.
17. Stay updated on regulatory legislation and implement necessary changes.
18. Serve as the archive responsible person for GxP documentation.
19. Manage relationships with authorities and ensure product quality in Switzerland.
20. Coordinate with distributors on packaging, storage, and handling.
Qualifications:
1. Educational background: eidg. Dipl. Apothekerin (pharmacist) and eMBA.
2. Over 10 years of experience in quality functions within the pharmaceutical industry.
3. Experience in quality assurance, compliance, legal, and regulatory affairs.
4. In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, particularly GMP and GDP.
5. Excellent knowledge of the Swiss health system.
6. Excellent knowledge of Swiss and EU health laws, regulations, and guidelines.
7. Excellent knowledge of GxP (especially GDP, GMP, GVP).
8. Ability to effectively communicate quality and regulatory expectations to senior management.
9. Proven leadership and managerial experience.
10. Role model for continuous improvement and lean leadership.
11. Documented change management experience.
12. Proficiency in English and German, with knowledge of Italian and French being a plus (verbal and written).
13. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
14. Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
15. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
16. Ability to engage in both strategic and conceptual discussions.
