Job Title: Data Scientist
The Data Scientist will harness their expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning to optimize revenue strategies.
Key Accountabilities:
* Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for revenue growth.
* Develop and implement predictive models to forecast demand and optimize pricing strategies.
* Apply time series analysis and machine learning theory to improve demand forecasting and inventory management.
* Manage and improve interactive web applications for data visualization.
* Perform web scraping to gather external data relevant to revenue management.
* Generate actionable insights from data analysis to support decision-making processes.
* Presentation of findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
* Review and document code to ensure clarity, maintainability, and best practices.
* Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data science methodologies.
Qualifications (Skills, Competencies, Experience):
* Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in the travel, hospitality, or related industries.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
* Experience with TensorFlow, Keras, Streamlit, Prophet.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
* Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms, and time series analysis.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Knowledge of web scraping techniques and tools.
* Proven capability to industrialize models and implement solutions into production environments.
* Experience with deploying applications and models using Docker, Jenkins, and other similar tools.
* Strong skills in ETL processes and data architecture.
