Job Description
The Finance Manager has direct and full responsibility for Financial Performance activities related to key Third Party Manufacturing partners in support of Aseptic Filling and Conjugation Manufacturing. This requires extensive interface and coordination with all levels of management across many functions. The position is expected to seek out cost opportunities and assist in managing the organization in achieving optimum financial performance. In addition, this position must ensure that Aseptic Filling and Conjugation Manufacturing financial activities are conducted in line with Division and Corporate, complying with General Accepted Accounting Policies and local fiscal and governing laws and regulations. This individual should possess strong analytical, communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
1. Develop financial plans/operating forecasts, including annual Plans and Updates, Long range plans (LRP’s), Latest Best Estimates (LBE’s), that are accurate, well written and professionally presented for senior management.
2. Standard Costs Development and reporting to Transfer Pricing Group. Responsible for monitoring the Deferred Margin transactions and serves as liaison with Operations and Corporate.
3. Lead month-end close activities and Manufacturing variances analysis and prepare monthly reporting schedules on TPM financial performance (PPV, spend, inventory, inventory exposures, accrued liabilities etc.). Ascertain and assure adherence to the corporate and division due dates.
4. Directly interface with Switzerland, VLOG, External Manufacturing, Puerto Rico, Lake County, and Waltham personnel to meet all financial reporting requirements in a timely manner. Provide accurate and insightful analysis related thereto which provides senior management necessary information with which to address variances and develop corrective actions.
5. Collaborate with Procurement organization in support of contract negotiations and supply agreements with TPMs. Participate in 3rd party supplier business reviews and other externally focused meetings.
6. Monitor Inventory levels, reserves and Balance Sheet deferral accounts.
7. Provide leadership to Finance Team members and ascertain adherence to policies and regulations. Certain instances may be a dotted line reporting structure.
8. Support internal and external audit preparation and assure compliance with Corporate Financial Manual (CFM), Affiliate Policies and procedures and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
9. Provide budgetary support to External Manufacturing Management teams. Effectively track spending for various TPM related projects.
10. Assist the Controller or Finance Director in the development of other ad hoc analysis.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA desirable.
2. A high level of human relations skills to deal with all levels of management and professionals within the company. Must possess a high personal integrity, objectivity and a direct tactful personality.
3. Excellent problem solving and decision making abilities (broad implications). Excellent analytical/statistical skills (able to interpret & provide a broader context to converging information).
4. Experience in SAP, BPC, Advance Excel, data analysis tools, Power point and other BI or Power Query tools.
5. Ability for managing multiple priorities in a constantly changing and challenging environment. Ability for working under pressure and adapting to changes. Short & long term planning and organization skills.
6. Must be able to travel 25% of the time.
7. Broad business perspective (able to provide advice and alternatives in financial & non-financial matters).
8. Strategic & critical thinking (instrument of change and challenge of conventional thinking).
9. Focus on customer service. Open and trustful communication skills with all levels of the organization.
10. Total Minimum Combined years of experience: 7 years.
