Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Legal Counsel to support the sales and business teams and support the compliance team on a fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will ensure that KVI adheres to all internal policies, legal standards, and industry regulations; will support the group-wide compliance programs, ensuring that all business processes align with statutory and regulatory requirements. The Legal Counsel will work closely with various departments, including sales, business development, engineering, operations, HR, IT, procurement and finance, promote a culture of integrity, and maintain the company's reputation for ethical conduct. This is a maternity leave replacement role. Your responsibilities As Legal Counsel you contribute to the corporate governance of our French entities as well as the overall HZI Group In providing support to our compliance team, you collaborate closely with our Legal Director Corporate & Compliance with onboarding checks (Know Your Customer)You administer the KVI Compliance training program You support the investigation of ‘whistleblower’ alerts You prepare reports on training completion rates for our Senior Management You prepare quarterly reports on the Group’s litigation matters Your experience You have a Masters’ degree in Law, ideally combined with some compliance training You have 3+ years’ experience in French corporate and commercial law, corporate governance, and compliance You have excellent written communication skills, an autonomous working style, and are able to balance risks and operational benefits You are self-motivated, eager to learn, resilient, calm, and discreet You are fluent in French and English, both orally and in writing Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. High attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in compliance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
