At Traila, we are dedicated to shaping the future of rail transport through cutting-edge technology. Since our founding in 2017, we have been driven by a passion for sustainability and excellence. We believe that rail transport is a cornerstone of a greener future, and our mission is to make it quieter, more efficient, and more reliable. Our talented team is at the heart of this mission, and we are looking for a skilled Simulation Engineer to join us in making a tangible impact on the world.
Role Overview
As a Simulation Engineer at Traila, you will play a key role in applying advanced numerical methods and simulations to support the development of our rail technology. Your work will focus on creating and refining models that simulate complex systems, enabling us to test, validate, and optimize designs effectively in a virtual environment. Working closely with our interdisciplinary R&D team, you'll help ensure that our products meet high standards of performance and safety, contributing to more sustainable and efficient rail transportation solutions.
Tasks
Advanced Modeling: Develop and refine mathematical models and computational simulations that accurately represent physical systems or processes. Use specialized software tools to build high fidelity in your simulations.
Data-driven Insights: Leverage data analysis to drive simulations that provide deep insights into system performance. Your work will help us predict outcomes, identify potential issues, and optimize designs.
Simulation Execution: Run complex simulations using high-performance computing clusters. Select and apply the appropriate algorithms and numerical methods for efficient problem-solving.
Innovation and Optimization: Continuously seek ways to improve simulation models and methodologies. Your creativity and expertise will help us stay ahead in the industry and maintain our competitive edge.
Validation and Verification: Rigorously validate simulation results against real-world data, ensuring that our models are reliable and predictive. You will fine-tune simulations to mirror reality as closely as possible.
Additional tasks
Custom Software Development: Develop bespoke tools and scripts that enhance simulation capabilities, automate complex tasks, and improve data visualization.
Sensitivity and Calibration: Conduct detailed sensitivity analyses and calibrate models to ensure alignment with experimental data, increasing the accuracy and utility of simulations.
