Job Overview :
The Software Engineer-III is responsible for designing, developing, and debugging software programs for software enhancements and new products. They develop software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Good understanding of computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, etc. acquired from education and / or experience.
2. Excellent programmer with proficient complex programming knowledge and standard data structure and algorithms.
3. Makes recommendations for each when solving technical problems.
4. Completes assignments in a timely manner and within quality tolerance.
5. Writes modular, maintainable code with some guidance.
6. Makes the right trade-offs to efficiently solve problems.
7. Recognizes impact software changes will have on systems.
8. Makes component changes.
9. Understands and complies with provided requirements, translates them into code.
10. Understands the principles of hardware to make design decisions.
11. LLinks the work to the external market.
13. Provides reasonably accurate estimates of work.
14. Participates in all required meetings and agile ceremonies.
15. Keen to provide test coverage to protect against future changes.
Required Qualifications :
1. Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience.
2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
3. Able to present a track record of software development in the real world.
4. Mastery of one or more programming languages.
5. Excellent code designing skills in native C.
6. Code designing skills in Java.
Preferred Qualifications :
1. Writes code faster than the average developer.
2. Outstanding quality with few bugs in generated code.
3. Programming experience for Windows and Linux systems.
4. Experience with databases.
5. Experience with cloud systems.
6. Experience with IBM Mainframe z / OS.
Education :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
