About the role
The role of Sales Manager working at YOTEL is one of continued development and never a dull time! You will get to interact with our great guests and support the Sales team in selling our great product – making you very important to us indeed!
Responsibilities (not an exhaustive list)
1. Focus Segments – Local and National accounts in the following business sectors: DMC, Convention Centers, Social Event Booking agents, Key Leisure group agents, Weddings, Association and banqueting services, SMERF.
2. Manage sales activities for the relevant segments for the hotel.
3. Generate new leads and grow the pipeline.
4. Full ownership of conversion and delivering new business targets.
5. Sustain relationships with key groups’ leisure agents.
6. Increase total group enquiries received for Leisure hotels.
7. Lead Sales Executive to focus on conversion of defined business enquiries.
8. Follow up and focus on conversion of large group enquiries and those with potential to repeat.
9. Carry out on-property sales activities, including but not limited to show rounds and initiating conversations with last minute and unexpected sales enquiries.
10. Secure new business and maintain repeat bookings for the relevant market segment.
11. Implement and maintain groups brand guidelines and standards.
12. Manage regional promotions and packages for leisure, social groups/events.
13. Accountable for monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue, room night and ADR targets for managed hotel for the relevant focus segment and overall revenue in line with the KPIs.
14. Execute the sales plan and all required sales strategies covering the focus segment.
15. Pursue membership & networking organisations to prospect for new business and build strong relations for the hotel with customers and industry partners.
16. Identify market patterns and trends, leading change to maintain and improve market share, sharing insights with relevant stakeholders regularly.
Who we are looking for
1. Passion for interacting with people.
2. Market knowledge (region Geneva and Nyon).
3. Fluent in French; professional skills in English and German is an asset.
4. A can-do attitude, hands-on approach, and strong product knowledge.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Opera, and CRM (Optimiser).
6. Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
7. Outstanding vendor management skills.
