Job Description: Introduction
For the location in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a Procurement Project Manager (a) who develops innovative procurement strategies, drives digital solutions, and manages exciting projects in the field of Direct Procurement.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive procurement project plans, considering timelines, budgets, and resource requirements
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables
Monitor and control project execution
Monitor and mitigate risks; proactively identify and report any projected risks to overall targets or timelines as well as potential mitigation strategies
Resolve issues and project risks on a timely basis and escalate issues and risks where appropriate
Planning, design, and leadership of global Sourcing & Benchmarking projects
Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners; coordinate cross-functional teams
Drive close alignment with relevant stakeholders within Roche Diagnostics and across Roche Group
Lead global, cross-functional projects to expand and continuously improve the modern procurement process landscape
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements/improvement potential
Manage backlog
Leverage modern digital procurement technology to drive an efficient, compliant Sourcing & Benchmarking process
Continuously assess and improve procurement processes, identifying opportunities for automation, streamlining, and cost savings
Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to enhance overall procurement efficiency
Qualifications
University degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or Life Sciences preferred
High proficiency in English
5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience delivering measurable value in strategic sourcing, enterprise cost reduction, and/or operational efficiency projects
Experience in digitalizing procurement processes, preferably within global Pharma or Medical Device manufacturing
Familiarity with different project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
Demonstrated understanding of major direct spend categories and potential cost levers
Strong background in strategic sourcing and supplier management in new product development in the medical device/pharmaceutical industry
3+ years of project management experience including risk management, project reporting, and delivering quantitative and qualitative results
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for senior stakeholder management
Strong capability in negotiation and conflict resolution
Documented international strategic sourcing experience and/or cross-functional, international projects in Procurement
Experience in new product and/or technology transfer processes
Experience working in complex global matrix environments
Strong analytical skills including the ability to drive insights from large data sources
Experience with enterprise systems (SAP, Oracle) and procurement/procure-to-pay tools (e.g., GEP, Ariba, Emptoris)
