Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement Procurement Execution Strategies for assigned investment projects.
2. Oversee end-to-end commercial ownership of procurement, expediting, contract management, and contract closeout for:
3. Goods: Process equipment, electrical equipment, AHUs, black utilities pumps & valves, lab equipment, furniture, consumables, pumps & automation systems, and spare parts.
4. Services: Construction, piping, HVAC, electrical & cleanroom fit-out, consulting, engineering, and planning.
5. Actively manage the Procurement Master Plan (PMP) during project execution to ensure timely reporting, risk identification, and mitigation.
6. Collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including:
7. Project procurement team (buyers, order managers, contract managers)
8. Procurement management & category management
9. Project or Program Directors/Managers, engineers, and subject matter experts
10. Key third-party collaborators (EPCM, EPC, main trade or equipment suppliers)
Minimum Requirements:
1. Minimum 10 years of experience in Capex project/procurement management, preferably in the pharma/biotech sectors.
2. Proven experience in plant construction and procurement, sales, and contract management.
3. Fluent in English and German.
4. Strong team player with the ability to work efficiently in matrix organizations and interdisciplinary teams.
5. Excellent business mindset, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
6. Initiative and resilience to thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.
7. Technical training (ETH or FH) or similar in process, chemical, mechanical, civil, or plant engineering is an advantage.
