We are looking for someone with expertise in CICS & MQ Subsystems and related products to provide support and assistance to application teams on CICS/MQ issues. The ideal candidate will have experience in:
* CICS/MQ incident and problem determination
* Change Management (IPCM)
* Automating processes and procedures related to online services
* Optimizing and fine-tuning systems for maximum throughput
The successful candidate will be working in an Agile Environment with a transformation mindset, adapting to an SRE culture focused on infrastructure reliability. They will be self-driven and able to identify toil, contributing to its elimination and enabling automation.
Your Team
You will be part of the Mainframe Online Services team in Zürich, handling Incident and Problem Management cases in our online environment. Your goal will be to guarantee smooth processing for z/OS Middleware, MQSeries, and CICS infrastructure, ensuring that SLA goals are met.
Your Experience and Skills
* Good knowledge
o z/OS System components (TSO, ISPF, JCL)
o REXX scripting language and/or Python
o CICS
o IBM MQ incl. Cluster / QSG
* Basic knowledge
o SQL
o LDAP
o USS on IBM Mainframe
o Common IT Knowledge, including Microsoft Office
* Ability to work under pressure or in hectic operating situations.
* Ability to work on 24 x 7 on-call support.
