Job Description
As a Senior Indirect Buyer, you will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that optimize costs, enhance supplier relationships and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality goods and services to support our automotive manufacturing activities and headquarters operations.
Your Responsibilities
* Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect materials and services
* Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions
* Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure high-quality service and delivery
* Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
* Collaborate with all European Johnson Electric entities to secure the most favorable commercial conditions
* Carry out comprehensive evaluations and develop KPIs to monitor, control and optimize the procurement process
* Perform market research to stay updated on industry trends and identify potential new suppliers
* Evaluate and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities
Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field
* 3-5 years of experience in indirect procurement, ideally within a manufacturing setting
* Fluent English and French language knowledge and a good level of communication in German
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills
* Experience in managing procurement projects from start to finish
* Strong analytical skills to assess market conditions and supplier performance
* Proficiency in Oracle or other ERP systems
* Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements related to procurement
* Preferred Certifications: CPS (Certified Purchasing Specialist), CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager), CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), or similar
