About the Role
As our new ICT First-Level Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and business continuity of our ICT business systems. You will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our staff, troubleshooting and resolving issues, conducting routine maintenance tasks and help the business to provide new solutions in our ICT business systems. You will have an overall understanding of the business processes in an engineering company to provide continuous support to both 1st & 2nd line and manage the communication between our company and external software vendors.
Main Responsibilities
Helpdesk & first-level support
Receiving, analysing and initial resolution of technical faults in IT support
Assisting users with the use of IT systems (Windows, VPN, Microsoft 365)
Forwarding complex enquiries to second-level support and following up on solutions
Documentation and maintenance of the ticket system and knowledge database for the continuous optimisation of support processes
Procurement, integration and management of hardware
Installation, configuration and commissioning of end devices (notebooks, mobile devices)
What You Need to Be Successful
Completed training in the IT sector or a comparable qualification
Sound experience in first-level support, ideally with professional experience in IT support or system support
Confident handling of ticket and asset systems
Good knowledge of the administration of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software and networks
Confident communication in German and English (written and spoken)
Ability to work in a team and a solution-orientated way of working
Strong communication skills and customer orientation
Knowledge of IT principles, concepts and methods
