The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including athletes, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs), Worldwide Olympic Partners, and Media Rights-Holders. It also works with public and private authorities, including the United Nations and other international organisations.

We are seeking a Social Media Production Manager to ensure the seamless creation and alignment of content across our digital ecosystem. This leadership role is responsible for managing the end-to-end production of social media content, ensuring seamless integration across channels, and driving high-performing campaigns that support brand objectives and positioning: Sport and More than Sport.
The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating content production teams, managing internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining creative consistency across a large-scale, multilingual, and multi-platform digital presence. This is a highly collaborative role, requiring strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills to ensure that content production efforts effectively support the IOC’s storytelling and engagement strategy.
Main responsibilities
Content Production & Execution
1. Lead the production of high-quality content across platforms: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms, ensuring alignment with social strategy and campaign objectives.
2. Manage content production timelines, resource allocation, and workflows, ensuring timely and efficient content delivery.
3. Oversee content shoots, asset creation, and creative development, working with internal teams and external partners to deliver best-in-class content.
4. Maintain a strong connection between creative direction and brand positioning, ensuring all content reflects the ‘Sport. And More than Sport’ brand positioning.
5. Support the creation of content for the Olympic Museum handles.
Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Collaboration
1. Act as liaison between social media, creative, brand, marketing, and external production teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
2. Work closely with marketing, PR, paid media, digital data, and analytics teams to ensure content production aligns with broader strategies.
3. Coordinate across multiple teams to ensure brand storytelling remains consistent across organic, paid, and partner content.
4. Manage relationships with external production teams, agencies, and freelancers, ensuring all content meets brand standards.
Content Integration Across Channels & Languages
1. Ensure content production is optimized for all relevant platforms and tailored for diverse global audiences across languages.
2. Work closely with language teams to ensure localization is executed effectively, maintaining cultural relevance while preserving brand consistency.
3. Maintain creative and storytelling alignment across owned, earned, and paid media, ensuring seamless integration within the wider content ecosystem.
Quality Control & Brand Consistency
1. Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, creative quality standards, and storytelling best practices.
2. Act as a brand guardian by reviewing and approving creative assets to ensure alignment with the brand and social strategies.
3. Implement quality control measures to maintain a consistent tone, visual identity, and messaging across platforms.
Innovation & Trend Integration
1. Stay at the forefront of social media trends, new formats, and creative innovations, particularly within sports and digital storytelling.
2. Identify opportunities to elevate storytelling through emerging content formats such as short-form video, interactive media, and user-generated content.
3. Work with creative teams to test and implement cutting-edge content strategies that drive engagement and resonance with younger audiences.
Performance Monitoring & Content Optimization
1. Collaborate with the digital data and analytics team to assess content performance and derive insights for continuous improvement.
2. Use data-driven insights to refine content strategies, ensuring optimal audience engagement, reach, and impact.
3. Provide recommendations for content format adjustments, creative enhancements, and platform-specific optimizations.
Project & Resource Management
1. Oversee multiple content production projects simultaneously, ensuring they are executed on time and within budget.
2. Manage internal and external resources, including agencies, freelancers, and content creators, to maximize production efficiency.
3. Develop and maintain content calendars and production workflows to ensure alignment with campaign timelines.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
2. English fluency, with excellent writing and speaking of other languages is a plus.
3. Several years of experience in social media content production and campaign management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
4. Ability to coordinate multilingual and multiplatform content production, ensuring consistency across global markets.
5. Proven ability to manage end-to-end content production, ensuring creative quality, efficiency, and consistency.
6. Strong expertise in social media storytelling, content formats, and audience engagement strategies.
7. Excellent project management skills, with experience overseeing large-scale content creation efforts across multiple teams and stakeholders.
8. Familiarity with sports and entertainment content production, with a strong understanding of brand storytelling in the digital space.
9. Experience working with external agencies, freelancers, and production partners to scale content efforts.
10. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to align and manage cross-functional teams.
