Job Description Ensure accuracy and timeliness of balance sheet reconciliations and financial statements to meet internal and external audit requirements.
Review and post month end journal entries.
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for nominated accounts to ensure integrity and validation. Develop action plans to address issues.
In charge of statutory accountant preparation for the Holding, the Insurance company of the Group as well as smaller operating entities as per Swiss code of obligations in particular: Manage transactions related to the group's investments, acquisitions, disposals and financings.
Record entries related to dividends, financial income, and changes in equity.
Record premiums, technical provisions, and claims
Manage reinsurance operations and inter-company transactions.
Track company liabilities (claims provisions and unearned premiums)
Prepare regulatory reports to FINMA.
Prepare VAT statement declaration.
Assist in reporting month end results to parent company in Geneva using Hyperion Financial Management
Support continuous improvement and innovation within the group/local and the Finance team.
Qualifications University degree (in business, economics, or accounting) or equivalent.
Minimum 8 years accounting experience in an international Group.
Experience of multi-cultural and matrix driven environments.
Experience working with ERP and reporting system mandatory (Oracle ERP preferred).
Familiar with international accounting standards (IAS/IFRS).
Fluent in English (another language would be a strong plus).
Must have strong computer skills notably Excel Pivot tables (must have).
Ability to identify issues and define & implement the appropriate solutions.
Demonstrate experience in prioritization and working to tight deadlines with several competing demands.
Enthusiastic team player and customer oriented.
Strong financial analytical skills and speed to assimilate and sort relevant data.
Ability to operate with confidence at all levels of the organization and to build trust and respect.
Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
