The International Road Federation (IRF) is a global, independent, not-for-profit organization headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, dedicated to promoting safe, sustainable, and efficient road and transportation systems worldwide. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager will play a critical role in planning, executing, and overseeing various projects to achieve our organizational goals.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage projects from inception to completion. The Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and partners to ensure the successful delivery of projects within scope, budget, and timeline. Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including goals, objectives, deliverables, resource allocation, and timelines.
2. Team Coordination: Lead project teams, assign tasks, and ensure team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
3. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, expenses, and resource allocation to ensure projects stay within budget.
4. Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks, develop mitigation plans, and proactively address issues as they arise.
5. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress.
6. Quality Control: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and project objectives are achieved.
7. Documentation: Maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
8. Resource Allocation: Allocate and manage project resources efficiently to meet project goals.
9. Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, and communicate any adjustments to stakeholders.
10. Project Evaluation: Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
1. Master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
2. Proven experience as a Project Manager, including successful project delivery and team management.
3. Experience in transport sector is a plus.
4. Familiar with EC’s Horizon 2020 and Horizon European Research Programmes.
5. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
7. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
8. Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
9. Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
10. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
11. Adaptability and flexibility to manage various types of projects.
12. Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages such as French, Arabic, Spanish, or Chinese considered a plus.
13. Swiss, EU citizenship, or a valid permit to live and work in Switzerland.
