Duties & Responsibilities
* Issues and manages orders for production materials both to intercompany and external suppliers.
* Issues and manages orders for indirect materials and services (e.g., plant maintenance, IT, external laboratory testing).
* Ensures all deliveries satisfy the assigned orders.
* Follows up on delivery dates for portfolio suppliers and reports any back ordered or missing products.
* Monthly analysis, planning, and ordering of recurring items.
* Verification and approval of invoices and delivery documents in the management system.
* Manages with suppliers any invoicing and price variances.
* Supplier qualification management for portfolio suppliers.
* Supports internal departments for technical and commercial offers to suppliers.
* Makes formal offer submissions to portfolio suppliers.
* Car fleet management and mobile phone contracting for the Swiss plant.
* Area of responsibility covers ZIP business, therefore the plants in Mendrisio and Tirano.
Output & Key Result Areas
* Performs market research, product comparison, and evaluations.
* Analyzes competitors to determine what products are featured in stores, catalogs, and online marketplaces.
* Maintains an effective and accurate system for monitoring purchase orders.
* Delivers regular purchase order reports to keep the management updated on the order status.
Interface, Collaboration, Stakeholders
* Daily interface with all site functions, especially Production, R&D, Admin, and Logistics.
* Key attention to all stakeholders, both internal and external (customers).
Required Education, Experience, Knowledge
* Bachelor/Master’s degree in Engineering Management or Industrial Engineering. Equivalent work experience is also acceptable for this position.
* At least 3 years’ experience in the role.

* Effectively communicates with the team, the organization, and suppliers.
* Attention to detail to ensure all purchase orders are accurate.
* Applies formal methods and strategies to enhance creative thought.
* Effectively analyzes the situation and collects input to make informed decisions.
* Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
