Job Summary
This role presents an excellent opportunity to drive the mobility program and ensure HR tax compliance within the Total Rewards Team. You will work closely with regional HR teams globally to manage policies and tax considerations for mobile employees, offering exposure to various business areas of Partners Group.
Main Responsibilities
* Governance and Oversight: Consistently apply global mobility policy in line with legislative and regulatory requirements, standards, and guidelines across countries like Switzerland, UK, Singapore, Philippines, USA, etc., and determine exceptions when warranted.
* Advice and Instruction: Guide regional payroll teams on long-term incentive payroll processing, including multiple locations where payroll tax liabilities arise due to mobile employee transfers during awarded incentives. Develop control processes to implement reporting and taxation in multiple payrolls.
* Trusted Advisor: Provide personalized relocation advice to senior executives and their team members, coordinating tax-compliance services with 3rd party advisors.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with the corporate tax department to identify corporate tax risks triggered by employee mobility and contribute to corporate tax reporting of long-term incentives by providing accurate payroll data to the corporate tax team.
* Relationship Building: Establish successful relationships with global stakeholders.
* Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional customer experience to relocating employees by advising them on key considerations.
* Immigration Compliance: Advise local HR Operations on thresholds triggering tax liabilities abroad, ensuring day-to-day immigration process compliance.
* Vendor Management: Manage external relocation and tax providers.
Requirements
* Education and Experience: University degree (preferable accounting, taxes, economics, or comparable studies) and/or minimum 7 years relevant experience in mobility.
* Global Knowledge: General global knowledge of payroll, income tax, and social security principles.
* Corporate Understanding: Experience in the corporate world, demonstrating a solid understanding of corporate structures and operations.
* Tax Compliance: Able to make directional decisions with respect to tax-compliance risks independently, in line with company philosophy.
* Language Skills: Excellent oral and written English.
* Teamwork and Independence: Team-oriented, can-do attitude with ability to work independently.
* Cultural Sensitivity: Strong global mindset and sensitive to various cultures.
* Process Design: Very strong ability to balance individual, people-oriented needs and company interests, likes to design and monitor processes to ensure global tax mobile tax compliance.
