Medtronic is hiring a Senior Project Manager responsible for leading and leveraging cross functional teams to manage projects, perform equipment acquisition and process validation to maintain manufacturing lines for market released products.
In this role, you will manage the operational aspects of projects within the organization's Project Management Office as well as performing acquisition, implementation, and validation activities when necessary.
A typical day in this position includes:
* Identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing processes through the design and implementation of new equipment or modifications to existing equipment.
* Developing comprehensive project plans that outline the scope, timeline, budget, and resource requirements for equipment purchases and implementations.
* Managing project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and ensuring projects stay within budgetary constraints.
* Identifying potential risks associated with equipment purchases and implementations, developing risk mitigation strategies, monitoring, and addressing any issues that may arise.
* Collaborating with various departments such as engineering, manufacturing, quality, regulatory affairs, and reliability to ensure equipment purchases and implementations align with organizational goals and requirements.
* Oversight of the execution of project plans, coordination, and performance of activities to ensure equipment is purchased, installed, and validated according to specifications.
* Ensuring medical device manufacturing equipment meets regulatory and quality standards and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals.
Key Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree.
* Minimum 7 years of experience in medical devices and pharma.
* Fluency in French and English.
Favorable Experience:
* Experience in equipment acquisition and optimization, as well as Compliance/Quality Systems Regulations (e.g. GMP's, process/document controls, CAPA, audits).
* Project management fundamentals (project planning, work breakdown structures, scheduling, executing, monitoring and closing) within cost, schedule, and scope constraints. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
* Knowledge and practice of Lean Manufacturing (e.g. continuous improvement mindset, process excellence).
* Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Nice to Haves:
* Experience in automation design.
* Strong Microsoft Office practice and knowledge.
* Excellent written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Fluency in another European language.
