JOB PURPOSE
The Shore Excursions Operations Senior Manager oversees the MSC product development process and operations. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, bidding for tour operators, ensuring delivery quality in ports of call, and developing strategies to enhance the guest experience, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Key Accountabilities
* Product Management & Development
o Supervise procurement through periodic bids to determine cost-effective and high-quality local operators.
o Monitor shore excursion performance in delivering customer experiences.
o Collaborate with Business Analysts and Corporate Tour Managers to determine optimal selling prices and ensure cost containment.
o Evaluate shore excursions programs against company requirements and track results.
* Operation Handling
o Lead operational processes between shoreside and onboard teams.
o Solve operational issues, including guest accidents and last-minute program revisions, in coordination with ships and operators.
Qualifications (Skills, Competencies, Experience)
* Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field.
* Minimum 5 years of managerial experience, with cruise management experience required.
* Fluent English, with ability to speak additional languages an advantage.
* Effective management skills in multicultural environments.
* Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
* Advanced computer software skills, including Microsoft Office tools.
This position involves 30% travel time.
