Our client is seeking a highly motivated Pharmaceutical Commercial Launch Program Manager who will be responsible for managing project timelines and activities related to a Pharmaceutical Commercial Launch. The Program Manager will act as a bridge between cross-functional teams, including Commercial Strategy, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Patient Support Services, Marketing, and Regulatory Affairs to launch a rare disease product in Europe. The Program Manager will provide PMO leadership and successful program coordination and communication, both internally and externally. The ideal candidate for this role will be well versed in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry as well as experienced in project/program management and client relations. This is a multidisciplinary role and this individual will interface across many parts of the company (i.e., commercial teams, medical affairs, regulatory affairs) to provide the best program management service for our clients. Effective communication, positive relationship building, creative problem solving, and acting with a sense of urgency are essential for this role. You will be entrusted to manage projects day-to-day for your clients autonomously; with the assurance that you also will have a team to provide problem-solving guidance.
You will lead and/or facilitate a project team’s activities, including the development of the project work breakdown structure, creation of a communication matrix of project dashboard(s), update meetings, and summary reporting to cover aspects of time, budget, and goals as appropriate.
You will have a key role interfacing with Europe and US site leaders and the teams to reach their objectives. This includes timely escalation of critical issues to the appropriate stakeholders to drive resolution as well as interfacing with US-based project teams to gather information needed to move Europe launches forward.
Depending on scope and project complexity, you may be responsible for delivering multiple projects within the program.
Responsibilities Manage and work with cross-functional teams to generate Pharmaceutical Commercial Country by Country Launch strategies and timelines, identification and removal of program roadblocks, and risk mitigation planning.
Perform Capital and/or Expense project deliverables to time, cost, and goals.
Identify key critical milestones and generate appropriate resource and execution plans.
Support multiple departments such as Commercial Teams, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Patient Support Services, Marketing, and Regulatory Affairs.
Manage the expectations and satisfaction of the project’s team and stakeholders.
Motivate, mentor, and coach the project team as needed.
Facilitate team communication and accountability by creating and optimizing team structures, meeting cadences, and escalation processes.
Must be comfortable working across different time zones and cultures as needed (US and Europe, for example).
Qualifications Swiss residency and the ability to travel occasionally to the United States is required.
8-10+ years’ experience working on large projects and/or programs, with launch experience preferred.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Fluency in English is required.

Strong organizational skills.
Strong leadership and relationship management skills, with an ability to build good relationships with stakeholders and the wider site teams.
Proven project and program management launch experience.
Sufficiently proficient in SmartSheet, MS-Project, or equivalent project management software with a desire to gain further skill. Ability to create task dependencies, define resource utilization, and actively manage to project critical path. Ability to update plans in real-time during project meetings.
Experience identifying risks, issues, and key decisions, developing mitigation plans, managing a RAID log, escalating, and driving solutions.
Ability and desire to work within a high-performing team and collaborate effectively and respectfully with internal and external staff at all levels and of diverse backgrounds.
Willingness and capability to operate in a hybrid work environment.
