The OE manager position is responsible for establishing and deploying Site and Asset’s OE roadmap, enhancing OE culture, leading LBMS (Lonza Business Management System) implementation, and driving performance improvement. The position serves as a key enabler on continuous improvement-related topics.
The position will deliver and/or support complex projects within the designated site/asset and act as a change agent through stakeholder management, earning buy-in & support, and showing a clear return on investment to the organization.
They mentor the GB professionals on organizational improvement projects. They lead and coach a cross-functional team of GB and YB professionals in six sigma projects. They train and share their experiences with the yellow belts & green belts and input into OE standard work and materials.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead LMBS Roll Out in operation functions: Lead and coordinate the maturity assessment, help function team to set up maturity improvement target & roadmap, and lead the implementation. Act as SME of LBMS standards and tools, coach and role model of lean leadership, and enhance the CI culture by implementing key LBMS elements such as 6S, Standard work, VSM, problem-solving, etc. Share/adopt good practices in the network.
* Drive performance improvement: Work closely with operation function to set up KPI and priority projects which align with BU and site ambition, lead and facilitate improvement/problem-solving workshops, provide consultancy and methodology support to priority improvement projects to help achieve business targets, and manage key cost-saving projects.
* Trainer and mentor of Green Belt projects.
Key requirements:
* Preferred area of study: IE, Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
* Advanced number of years of experience in the area of Lean Six Sigma. Experience in the pharma industry is a plus.
* Strong leadership skills; very good communication skills and interaction with all kinds of interfaces within customers and the project organization.
* Structured, focused, and well-organized working attitude.
* Fluent in English. German or Chinese is a plus.
