In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
1. Develop functional and design specifications for Emerson Control systems (HW and SW) under supervision of the Lead Engineer and in co-operation with customers.
2. Perform design studies and quality documents for projects according to the project specifications and in line with the applicable procedures and quality plans.
3. Configuration of SW applications for the Emerson Controls System DeltaV.
4. Perform internal tests and customer acceptance tests of the configured control system (HW and Application SW) in-house and at customer site.
5. Provide commissioning and start-up support at customer sites.
6. Provide after sales service and training at customer sites.
7. Develop the required technical project documentation.
8. Represent Emerson Process Management in meetings with the customer.
9. Assist the sales organization in demonstrations, presentations, and engineering estimates.
Who You Are: You have previous experience working in the Process Automation environment and technical skills in control system hardware and software engineering. You have knowledge of some, preferably all, of the following elements: Control system design, Control systems HW cabinet design and assembly, software system design, software implementation, and software testing. Furthermore, you should have the ability to work effectively with end users, engineering either internally or externally to the business, in ascertaining requirements, and informing and documenting all aspects required in the provision of the department and business deliverables.
For This Role, You Will Need:
1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferred background in Electrical or Process Automation Engineering.
2. Work experience: minimum 2 years post-graduate experience in a Control engineering project environment.
3. Knowledge preferred: GAMP, Batch SW application, Validation and Life Science automation experience, MS-Office Applications.
4. Language skills: French – good, English - good, German - basic.
5. Interpersonal skills: professional attitude, technical orientation, commitment to excellence, teamwork, flexibility, and self-learning.
6. Must have a valid car driving license.
7. Willingness to travel to other world areas for training or business trips if necessary.
