The Position
Enterprise Center of Excellence (eCoE) Team Member - Focus: Pharma Technical Operations Standard costing expert
A healthier future. It’s what drives us to innovate. To continuously advance science and ensure everyone has access to the healthcare they need today and for generations to come. Creating a world where we all have more time with the people we love. That’s what makes us Roche.
The Opportunity
At Roche, our Finance Centers of Excellence have led the way in breaking down silos, removing hierarchies, and working in new ways. We’ve learned from our successes and from the things that haven’t gone so well. We’re better equipped to look at interfaces and synergies and to understand the risks of creating new silos. Now is the time to build on those learnings, shifting from a divisional/functional approach to an enterprise approach with an Enterprise Center of Excellence (eCoE).
The eCoE will focus on three areas delivering a high level of financial expertise, innovative insights, and an entrepreneurial mindset that enables agility and flexibility for stakeholders. The eCoE will be a talent engine for Finance through capability building and network building.
There are three focus areas within eCoE:
1. Financial Backbone
2. Digital Innovation
3. Planning, analytics, and insights
While there are three focus areas and clusters, we are not seeking to create silos. We are looking for individuals who display the Finance Mindset and behaviors and will support a living organism that will leverage the business knowledge and financial expertise of the network to deliver exceptional results for Finance and Roche. Team members will partner with Roche Services & Solutions, Finance Enterprise Partners, and the Business to deliver many of Finance's core processes and deliverables while also driving process scaling/simplification/harmonization and progressing our digital ambition. Ensuring business continuity is a must.
Who you are
In this forward-thinking role, you will be a standing member of the standard costing global squad, and you will use your deep financial expertise and knowledge of the standard costing process, to be able to monitor, validate, and judge the quality of e2e process outcomes in the Pharma (and Group) financials, understanding the complexity of the steps and the readiness of the data, and can judge if this is correct or not (technical-logical, by product, regardless of the system or tools). Inventory reporting and partnering with the supply chain organization will form a key component of your responsibilities. From an analytical and digital perspective, you, as part of the eCoE will play a role in building and developing models that would help to judge the accuracy and correctness of outcomes coming from the standards’ execution, and also, enhance the management reporting to integrate standard costing data to that (we are not there, currently).
