On behalf of a Swiss hedge fund established in 2003 and headquartered in Zurich, specializing in systematic and quantitative investment strategies, we are seeking a Sales and Business Developer to join their team in spring or summer 2025.
Renowned for its disciplined, data-driven approach and use of advanced quantitative models, the hedge fund delivers innovative investment solutions. The incoming team member will be instrumental in expanding the sales function and driving strategic business development initiatives.
Tasks
- Act as the primary point of contact for standard client inquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Work closely with the Sales team as well as Research, Trading, and Technology teams to address client needs with efficiency, accuracy, and speed.
- Facilitate seamless communication between clients and the company by directing requests to the appropriate departments and ensuring swift resolution.
- Communicate independently, both verbally and in writing, on key topics such as:Recent and longer-term performance and positioning of the company’s investment programs.
- Updates on ongoing and completed research projects.Take ownership of client relationships, proactively managing interactions and overseeing the entire sales pipeline.
- Prepare tailored presentations that align with specific client interests and objectives.Plan and coordinate roadshows, including scheduling meetings across key markets.
- Proactively engage with existing investors to arrange regular update and review calls, while maintaining ongoing dialogue with prospects to schedule follow-ups.
- Ensure efficient follow-up from investor meetings and discussions by preparing meeting summaries and updating the CRM system and drafting follow-up emails and coordinating the collection of necessary materials, reports, or data in collaboration with relevant teams.
Requirements
- Master’s or advanced degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a (systematic) hedge fund.
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated team player with a strong drive to learn, take responsibility, and achieve success.
- Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and performs well under pressure.
- Genuine interest in financial markets and alternative investments.
- Solid understanding of quantitative investment strategies, risk management, and financial markets.
- Fluent in English and German; knowledge of French and/or Italian is a plus.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering the highest quality results.
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathetic personality, and a genuine interest in building and maintaining client relationships.

- Must be resident in Switzerland.
