Tasks
Aritec New Materials Group AG is recruiting several technical directors, you will coordinate the development of innovative technical solutions that meet the diverse needs of our global customers. You will serve as a crucial bridge between our key account managers at headquarters in Switzerland and our manufacturing plants as well as our global R&D teams. This role demands a proactive leader who is fluent in English and another European Language or Chinese would be highly regarded to support and participate in product testing and characterization activities, as well as in technical discussions with customers.
Industry knowledge in rubber, cabling, mining, or construction is a must for this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate for new-product development projects to ensure they meet technical, quality, commercial and operation objectives
* Meet with customers to determine potential product development opportunities to improve overall business performance and portfolio
* Guide the development and implementation of new products, working closely with manufacturing, quality, and commercial management
* Act as internal interface between sales, manufacturing and the product teams to identify customer requirements, emerging trends and benchmarking competition offering
* Actively participate in preparing product application reviews, writing technical files (product specifications, identification and test files, etc.)
* Maintain and develop continuously technical knowledge
Requirements
Education:
* Master’s or PhD degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field
Experience:
* Minimum of Three years in a similar role within a multicultural and international environment
* In-depth experience in one or several related industries
* Proven ability to manage relationships with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams, and navigate foreign cultures
Technical Knowledge:
* Good knowledge of Applications and its terminologies related to our segments specified products from a global perspective (materials, design, technology, development and testing)
* Active listening to customers and able to come up with technical solutions.
* Project management skills with ability to get involved in a project, to provide results with a good follow-up of the constraints: schedules, deliverables, reporting, risks, setting priorities
Language Skills:
* Fluency in English,
* Proficiency in another EU language or Chinese is a strong plus
Interpersonal Skills:
* Excellent communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional, multicultural teams
* Ability to approach challenges with innovative and unconventional solutions, thinking beyond traditional methods to drive growth and efficiency
Professional Attributes:
* Strong organizational and analytical skills to manage priorities and meet deadlines
* Detail-oriented with a proactive, hands-on approach to challenges
