Job Description
* Maintain and improve power market fundamental stack model across European markets.
* Monitor model inputs and outputs, track model performance, and propose improvements.
* Support the power desk with regular short to mid-term fundamental forecasting and analysis.
* Analyze market developments and correlations between energy complex building blocks: CO2 emission, coal, gas, and power prices.
* Identify profitable Clear Spark Spread (CSS) and Clear Dark Spread (CDS) trading opportunities based on research and statistical analysis.
* Prepare fundamental scenarios for informed decision-making.
* Enhance understanding of fundamental power market dynamics through in-depth analysis.
* Collaborate closely with traders, gas analysts, meteorologists, data engineers, and developers to achieve common goals.
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience as Power Analyst or Cross-Commodity Analyst with a strong focus on power markets in the energy trading/commodities sector.
* Prior experience with power market fundamental stack modeling.
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Mathematics.
* Strong research, analytical, and quantitative skills, including econometric and statistical modeling.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Proficiency in Python and SQL coding is an advantage.
* Ability to explain complex concepts, translate market analyses into propositions/strategies, and communicate them clearly.
