Primary Function of Position:
The AR Manager plays a critical role in delivering quality, customer service, and productivity goals and commitments while building a best-in-class team. As our operations have evolved rapidly, complexity and the need to scale have increased significantly. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
CASH APPLICATION
* We require an effective methodology and process for achieving world-class cash collection results. The AR Manager resolves unapplied cash exceptions from the automatic cash application interface with the bank and resolves cash application disputes.
CREDIT WORTHINESS
* Evaluating the creditworthiness of new/existing customers involves conducting credit checks and financial analysis. Building processes ensures efficient management of credit evaluations through coordination with customer finance, commercial enablement, and sales teams.
* Ensuring an effective methodology for evaluating, managing, and reporting on credit risk involves establishing credit limits and terms in accordance with company policies and risk management strategies.
* Managing Letters of Credit (LoC) with banks and involved parties requires coordination with customers, logistics, and third parties.
* Preparing allowance for doubtful accounts analysis and bad debt write-offs analysis is crucial for minimizing bad debt and enhancing cash flow.
* Monitoring and managing aging accounts receivable helps minimize bad debt and enhance cash flow.
CUSTOMER ORIENTATION
* Fostering strong professional relationships with key stakeholders and business partners is essential. Building relationships with customers to understand their needs ensures timely and accurate invoicing and collections.
* Handling customer inquiries and disputes professionally and efficiently aims for high levels of customer satisfaction. Collaboration with sales and customer service teams addresses billing issues at their root cause.
* Developing efficient processes for timely and accurate billings related to system, leasing, pay-per-use, instrument, and service sales is vital.
CASH COLLECTION
* Leading and managing the cash collection process ensures timely and efficient collection of receivables. Implementing strategies improves cash flow and reduces days sales outstanding (DSO). Developing effective collection policies and procedures is necessary.
TEAM MANAGEMENT
* Leads, mentors, and develops a happy and high-performing AR team. Fosters a collaborative and results-oriented work environment. Sets clear performance goals, conducts regular performance reviews, and provides ongoing coaching and support.
* Ensures team members are trained on best practices and company policies, and encourages continuous professional development.
REPORTING AND ANALYSIS
* Develops and reports key business metrics and provides trend analysis to focus on continuous improvement and world-class quality service, quality, and productivity.
* Prepares and presents regular AR reports, including aging analysis, DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), and AR trends, for distribution to executive management.
COMPLIANCE AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
* Manages processes and procedures to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency.
* Ensures adequate internal controls are in place and adheres to Company accounting policies.
* Finds scalable solutions and works with Global Shared Services Teams and IT to leverage technology to drive automation.
* Ensures timely month-end accounting close, including recording journal entries, account reconciliations, and related analysis.
* Maintains ongoing compliance with SOX internal control documentation.
* SUPPORTS AR and Global Finance SSC initiatives and guidance, and the GFSSC mission and vision.

* A bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and build world-class AR teams.
* High working capacity, hands-on experience.
* Speaking fluent English; French, German, and/or Italian is a plus.
* Strong technical experience in the AR transactional area (systems and processes).
* Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; SAP and HighRadius experience is a plus.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
* Exceptional customer service orientation and communication skills.
