Responsibilities: Managing project development from project idea to the issuance and transfer of ITMOs while guiding project partners through all steps of Article 6.
Sourcing potential partners and developing project ideas and advancing existing ones.
Applying emission reduction logic and business model assessments to screen and evaluate projects.
Managing and maintaining contacts and contracts with diverse stakeholders, including project partners, technology providers, financial partners, and governmental focal points.
Monitoring developments around Article 6 and the Paris Agreement, including attendance of relevant events and conferences.
Defining, streamlining, and continuously updating project development processes within the Bilateral Cooperation Team.
Knowledge management, including writing periodic articles on myclimate’s Article 6 work for myclimate outlets.
Play a proactive role in our team and be open to engage in additional responsibilities (e.g., product management or deputy team leader).
Your Profile:
You are an authentic and winning personality that brings along broad intercultural experience. You are a strong team player, open to a dynamic work environment.
You have developed carbon offset projects and have managed complex projects for at least 2 years – ideally more than 5 years.
You have sound experience in developing and evaluating business plans for complex projects, including experience in different financing mechanisms.
You have experience in working in an international context and in dealing with Authorities (experience with Swiss Authorities is highly beneficial).
You are ready to travel frequently, visiting project partners and taking part in national and international conferences.
You are business fluent in English. German, French, and Spanish are strong assets.
You enjoy working independently and with a proactive mindset; you are open to constructive criticism and can deal with conflicts and recognize potential.
