IKEA Supply AG (ISAG) is the wholesale company within Inter IKEA Group, part of IKEA Supply. ISAG owns the goods in all IKEA Distribution and Regional Customer Distribution Centers worldwide. Our main functions include Transport & Logistics Services, Supply Chain Development, and Finance.
The Finance organization at ISAG is responsible for all financial matters of the entity, including financial planning, performance reporting, decision-making support, pricing, external accounting and reporting, tax management, customs, and related business development. We ensure accurate financial transaction recording and compliance with local and international accounting and tax regulations.
Job Description
As an Accounting Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and developing your team, while ensuring accurate and efficient accounting and reporting for IKEA Food Supply AG (IFSAG). You will oversee key accounting areas such as stock accounting and valuation, intercompany reconciliations, and compliance with internal and external reporting standards. In this role, you will also provide support and guidance on accounting matters, contribute to financial closings, and act as a key contact for audits.
Accounting
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals to secure high-quality and timely accounting operations.
* Ensure correct application of Inter IKEA Group accounting principles and financial reporting guidelines within IFSAG.
* Oversee monthly, half-year, and year-end closings, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to deadlines.
* Supervise Accounts Receivable processes, including invoicing, payment follow-up, and customer account reconciliation.
* Approve supplier payments in line with internal controls and authorization levels.
* Supervise stock accounting and valuation, ensuring compliance with internal standards.
* Set up and maintain an effective Internal Control System (IKS) aligned with the IKS framework.
* Act as the main point of contact for internal and external audits.
Reporting
* Ensure timely and accurate Group reporting in accordance with Inter IKEA Group standards.
* Manage and support local statutory reporting for IFSAG and its subsidiaries.
* Take responsibility for Swiss VAT (CH VAT) reporting.
* Serve as the main contact for Group Finance on financial SAP reporting and related queries.
Projects & Support
* Act as Process Owner for the Handle Financial Transactions process team, driving process development and alignment.
* Own and maintain the Food Finance Working Instructions, ensuring documentation is updated and aligned with business needs.
* Lead and contribute to finance-related projects, including implementation and optimization of digital tools such as Canea.
* Provide subject matter expertise and support on VAT-related matters and other compliance topics.
* Actively participate in cross-functional improvement initiatives within the finance and supply chain context.
System Maintenance
* Act as the key link between Finance and IT/Solution Areas, ensuring alignment of business needs and technical solutions.
* Maintain strong knowledge of financial flows in M3, supporting system stability and process efficiency.
* Support continuous improvement and harmonization of finance-related systems and processes.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should bring:
* At least 5 years of experience in accounting and reporting, in Switzerland and/or to border on Switzerland.
* Proven leadership capabilities for min 3 years and a passion for developing people.
* Strong cross-functional understanding of finance and supply chain processes.
* A university degree in economics (or equivalent through work experience).
* Solid skills in MS Office, especially in financial reporting.
* Fluency in English.
* A service-minded approach and a proactive attitude.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* A structured, organized way of working and the ability to deliver high-quality results on time.
* A constant desire for improvement and a collaborative spirit.
