The Position
In a global, cross-functional environment, the System Development (SD) department within R&D is responsible for workflow optimization and successfully integrating hardware, software, consumables, and reagents to perform the system verification of diagnostics instruments. As a Development Engineer, you will work as a cross-functional team on automating and tooling to maintain and further develop launched complex diagnostic systems.
In this position, you will be responsible for the following areas:
* Elaborating on (Cobots-)Robotics concepts within a laboratory environment towards our vision of a dark lab by fully automating laboratory operations and workflows.
* Programming, testing, and maintaining of newly created and existing automated solutions within our laboratories.
* Supporting our Integration Teams in the installation and troubleshooting of Robotics Solutions within our laboratory environment
* Plan, coordinate, and execute work packages within your area of responsibility, including reporting and escalating topics or issues to the team and management.
* Be able to work as an individual and as part of a team.
Who you are:
* You are graduated with a bachelor's or master preferably in computer science, with specific knowledge in, e.g., robotics and/or vision, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or systems engineering or equivalent.
* Knowledge of professional Software development with one or more programming languages (e.g. UR-Polyscope, Python, C#/NET, LabView)
* You are excited to work as a professional in the medical diagnostics industry.
* Excellent spoken and written command of English (German is advantageous).
* You can communicate appropriately with different target groups.
* You are motivated to build, manage, and foster relationships and networks within the department and the related projects.
* Quick grasp and understanding of complex issues conceptual and creative thinking.
