About the Role
The Senior Account Executive – Switzerland oversees the full sales cycle within a quota-carrying territory that includes strategic banks, law firms, and private equity firms. Based primarily in Zurich, this role involves regular travel to regional offices across Switzerland. The Senior Account Executive will engage in daily prospecting, skillfully qualifying and closing new business opportunities with senior clients. They will challenge existing processes and align the client's business challenges with Intralinks' solutions. Additionally, the Senior Account Executive will have the opportunity to coach and mentor less experienced team members.
Your Responsibilities
1. Achieve agreed monthly and annual performance targets for New Business quota, client activity (including meetings and demos), and market knowledge development.
2. Maintain a strong and consistent schedule of cold calls, online meetings, and in-person meetings.
3. Present Intralinks’ business solutions using effective sales approaches and techniques, including team and/or consultative presentations and efforts.
4. Build and nurture senior relationships with key contacts within strategic accounts, such as M&A bankers, lawyers, and investment professionals, by delivering valuable insights and demonstrating how the Intralinks platform addresses specific business challenges.
5. Collaborate with senior management and internal stakeholders to negotiate contracts and manage all follow-up activities to ensure the delivery of signed agreements.
6. Develop and oversee prospecting campaigns to generate new business opportunities.
7. Utilize social networks like LinkedIn to enhance brand awareness and generate demand.
8. Maintain a robust sales pipeline and forecast to enhance visibility of short- and long-term prospects using our CRM system, Salesforce.com.
9. Responsible for selling complex technical products and/or services. This would typically be a limited number of the company’s products, typically a technology or those that are strategic in nature.
10. Typically specialise in a single product or product line and carries an overlay quota.
11. Coordinate the sales and technical team in support of the sale of the company’s products.
Your Experience
1. Full professional proficiency in English, fluency in German would be a distinct advantage.
2. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
3. Experience in software or technology sales, as well as relevant experience in the financial services industry.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities and public speaking.
