Job Title: Finance & Accounting Analyst
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance & Accounting Analyst to join our corporate Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical analysis and reviewing revenue contracts for the global organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide in-depth technical analysis of revenue recognition rules under US GAAP (ASC 606) for product, service, and technology companies.
* Partner with legal and sales teams to structure sales contracts that avoid revenue recognition issues after execution.
* Evaluate final executed agreements and document accounting conclusions in technical memoranda.
* Upload accounting conclusions and contract characteristics into the Company's electronic contract management system.
* Collaborate with Operations Finance to provide insights on future revenue timing, impacts of sales concessions, and other negotiating inputs.
* Lead the implementation of best practices for revenue team counterparts worldwide to scale business and global revenue expansion.
* Continuously improve global accounting processes and procedures by identifying areas to streamline, automate, or refine.
* Provide training on technical topics to finance teams within the segment.
* Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
* Interface with internal and external auditors in support of audit procedures.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance or equivalent qualification.
* Experience with ASC 606.
* CPA certification required.
* Ability to influence decisions based on expertise.
* Proficiency in Excel.
* Public accounting experience preferred, with 'Big 4' experience being an advantage.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
* High attention to detail and a desire for continuous improvement.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional attitude and demeanor when working with the internal team.
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple projects, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
