The Sourcing Manager is responsible for the execution of Direct Procurement Operations activities within a specific region, country, or site, as well as supplier management responsibilities (negotiating, contracting, performance management) in alignment with the Category Management team.
Responsibilities:
1. Execute procurement operations within the region or site, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and high-quality customer service as well as execute support requests, applying continuous improvement methodologies where possible. Understand end-user requirements as received directly or indirectly.
2. Leverage applicable category guidance documents and procurement knowledge to determine the best method for driving value.
3. Ensure compliance with applicable policies, standards, and operating procedures.
4. Communicate the status, progress, and outcomes of procurement activities.
5. Support the creation and review of relevant purchasing documentation.
6. Maintain strong information flows back to the Category Management teams in the event of high-value or non-standard requests, opportunities to aggregate demand, and regular submission of operations data and requirements to develop new strategies.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Degree in either business administration or a technical discipline.
2. Procurement experience with technical products, with experience in basic contracting and business enterprise systems.
3. Knowledge of business enterprise tools (e.g., SAP P1U) and overall procurement processes/methodologies.
4. Strong understanding of internal stakeholder functions and requirements, as well as stakeholder management.
5. Fluent in English as well as in German.
