Job Title: Customer Support Specialist
At Bio-Techne, we empower researchers in Life Science and Clinical Diagnostics by providing high-quality reagents, instruments, custom manufacturing, and testing services.
Responsibilities:
* Train and support customers in operating our setup, developing their protocol, and implementing staining assays properly.
* Attend conferences and customer meetings to present our product and its applications with scientific and technical depth.
* Investigate problems at customer sites and resolve them in collaboration with the Technical Support Team, Service Engineers, and where needed, also with the Product Management and R&D teams.
* Collaborate effectively with the Sales team to plan and execute pre- and post-sales support.
* Develop and maintain a positive relationship with customers via proactive and regular visits or calls.
* Remote employees are required to travel to the Swiss site on request to deliver configured product demos for prospects.
* This position includes frequent traveling to customer sites (40-80%).
* Identify and keep track of all details and feedback at the customer site to the broader Marketing, Product Management, and R&D teams.
* Help define customer requirements and applications for new products.
Required Qualifications & Soft Skills:
* You have a Master's or PhD degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Bioengineering, Medicine, or a related field, allowing you to easily understand our product's applications.
* Hands-on experience in in-situ techniques, including immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, in-situ hybridization, or microscopy, is strongly desired.
* Experience in analyzing spatial data is a strong plus.
* Prior experience in supporting customers in a highly technical field, with demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction, is highly valued.
* You are independent, confident, and creative in running experiments in a laboratory.
* You are a good listener, like interacting with people, and bring advice and solutions to them, demonstrating good customer service skills.
* You can adapt in a dynamic environment.
* You demonstrate critical thinking and analytical skills.
* You demonstrate good organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Fluency in oral and written English is a must. Additional language skills, including German, Italian, or French, are highly desired.
