Procurement Program Specialist (fixed-term, 12 months contract) As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.
Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).
Your responsibilities Prepare Procurement Plan for development initiatives and monitor progress for the defined perimeter.
Support Category Managers (CM) with program requirements (schedule, needs, cost, etc.) for the defined perimeter.
Lead project development with suppliers supporting CMs, collaborate with Engineering and Quality, and act as a focal point for intercompany stakeholders.
Intercept/evaluate delays, extra costs, and modification of program requirements and identify recovery plans.
Encourage optimization of requirements to improve cost and lead time.
Collaborate with internal functions to define bought-out configuration for cost control.
Elaborate the bought-out cost baseline and monitor the latest status.
Participate in Configuration Change Reviews, identify impacts on cost and activities and define internal corrective actions.
Manage procurement inputs consolidation for new initiatives/commercial opportunities and their appropriate and coherent use.
Participate in internal meetings on supply chain (SC) status to understand impact on procurement activities and define recovery actions in collaboration with CM and SC for implementation.
Support other program relevant activities impacting procurement scope.
Your qualification & experience Degree in Business Administration or Engineering (or similar field related to project management, cost control).
Minimum 1-2 years Strategic Purchasing experience in an international environment and in complex industry.
Good knowledge of ERP systems, e.g. SAP MM (Materials Mgmt.).
Experience in Project/Program Management.
Proven experience of working in matrix organization and cross-functional teams.
Supplier Management experience in Aerospace an asset.
Knowledge of aviation regulations an asset.
English (verbal & written) at C1 level.
