Job Description
The Program Coordinator for Bioaerosol Risk Assessment interVention Engineering (BRAVE) will assist the Director and Associate Director in the day-to-day operation, ensuring the mission of BRAVE is accomplished by leading efforts in the overall management of the Program. The candidate is expected to be self-motivated, pro-active, and a solution-oriented individual. BRAVE is a large, complex, multi-faceted project, which will require strategic thinking and problem solving by the Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator will be involved in many aspects of the Program, including financial oversight, leading the development of a Resource Share Plan, organizing complex travel and meeting logistics, developing project reports, and leading the communication and outreach program. The responsibilities of the Program Coordinator include:
Management of the operating budget and oversight of the disbursement of funds that support BRAVE, in collaboration with the Director and Associate Director.
Strategic development of Resource Share Plan.
Oversight of subcontractors’ spending and budget.
Management of BRAVE’s communication and outreach plan.
Preparation of BRAVE’s reporting deliverables.
Event/meeting planning.
Coordination of travel.
Lead the development, implementation, and updating of BRAVE’s website.
Required Qualifications
Experience with large and complex project management in an academic setting.
Experience working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of technical and cultural backgrounds.
Effective communication and record keeping skills.
Demonstrated proficiency with common office computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Experience maintaining websites and social media content.
Experience managing budgets.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Master’s degree in higher education, business, or STEM field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with subcontractors.
Experience with diverse staff and stakeholders.
Experience using Chrome River, HokieMart, and Microstrategy Finance Reports.
Appointment Type : Restricted
Salary Information : $60,000-$70,000 depending on experience
