Business Development Manager/Developer
We are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager/Developer to lead all activities and drive financial growth of our Electrical Safety Solutions (ESS) Business Unit.
This role involves developing and implementing a growth strategy for ESS, identifying business opportunities, and providing market insights to navigate the product roadmap and development activities.
* Develop and implement a growth strategy for ESS covering existing and new products in railway, renewable energy, and industrial applications.
* Identify business opportunities and provide market insights to support sales team effectiveness.
* Drive product economics development with the sales team, product line managers, and R&D.
* Collaborate with the sales organization to develop a growth strategy focused on financial objectives.
* Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities in railway, industrial, and renewable energy applications.
* Develop business cases for individual products with product line managers and the sales team.
* Implement action plans with the sales team and product line managers.
* Prepare product launch and market placement plans with marketing, sales, and product line managers.
* Compare competitors' products to support promotional efforts and provide input to product line managers.
Requirements
* Technical degree in electrical engineering or power electronics.
* Further education in industrial product marketing/business administration desirable.
* At least 10 years' experience as an international Business Developer in industrial B2B environment.
* Successful track record introducing power products to new clients.
* Proven working experience as a successful business development manager/developer on an international scale.
* Good knowledge of one of the following sectors: high voltage, railway traction systems, power transmission & distribution, renewable energy, and e-mobility.
* Ability to understand DC and AC power systems and corresponding product needs.
* Excellent analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
* Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to develop convincing communication strategies based on technical rationale.
* Proven ability to think creatively and resolve problems.
* Experienced in working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
* High integrity and trustworthiness.
* Open to frequent travel.
* Excellent communication skills in English, French, and/or German desirable.
