To support our Research & Development Team in Cham, we are looking for a highly passionate Junior Firmware Engineer.
This exciting opportunity will allow you to contribute to the development of next-generation products that are essential to our Industrial, Commercial, and Grid metering portfolio. As part of a dynamic team of approximately 15 specialists, you will support the development, testing, and optimization of embedded software in an agile environment, utilizing modern tools and practices.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Develop high-quality, maintainable, and optimized firmware for new products
2. Review and provide feedback on code changes made by team members
3. Collaborate with platform and product teams to deliver integrated solutions
4. Contribute to the creation and improvement of firmware architecture
5. Support the creation of tools to aid in testing, debugging, and programming tasks
6. Stay up-to-date with technology trends and contribute new ideas to enhance product development
Your Profile and Qualifications:
1. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science, or a related field
2. Practical experience in object-oriented, embedded software development (C++) using an RTOS
3. Experience in Python and C# is a plus
4. Understanding of software design principles and patterns
5. Interest in agile development practices and team collaboration
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and independent approach to work
7. Motivated and eager to learn, with a positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
8. Familiarity with technical documentation and its development
9. Fluent in English (both spoken and written); German is a plus
