**Head of Climate Certificates & Bulk Trading Role**
Lead a high-performing team in the rapidly evolving carbon and fuels market. Develop global models, expand trading activities regionally, and drive innovation in low-carbon fuel trading.
Main Responsibilities:
* Take proprietary trading positions in coal, carbon, climate certificates, and fuels to capitalize on market opportunities.
* Direct and integrate a team of traders and analysts, promoting knowledge transfer and best practices.
* Develop in-house global models to enhance fundamental market forecasting and support data-driven decision-making.
* Expand trading activities into new regions (Asia, US) and related products (freight, currencies), driving business growth and market expansion.
* Provide market access to other trading desks for hedging purposes, fostering collaboration and risk management.
* Support the integration of analytics with power and gas models, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics.
About You:
* Possess a Master's or PhD in business or natural sciences, demonstrating strong theoretical foundations.
* Bring several years of experience in a trading role within a bank, trading house, fund, or utility, showcasing expertise and adaptability.
* Demonstrate a proven track record of strong PnL performance, highlighting analytical skills and strategic thinking.
* Have expertise in European emissions markets (compliance & voluntary), leveraging knowledge to inform trading decisions.
* Display strong modeling and forecasting skills, with experience managing traders or analysts, emphasizing leadership and collaboration.
* Show excellent communication skills and a fundamental trading approach, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and relationship-building.
