Your role
As a Senior IT Technician, you will play a pivotal role in launching our new corporate office in Schaffhausen, with a strong focus on IT support. Your responsibilities will include engaging with employees at various levels, including VP levels, to ensure they have seamless access to the IT resources they need to excel in their roles.
Being a key member of our global IT team, your contributions will transcend geographic boundaries, as your expertise will be leveraged in both local and global IT projects, further extending your impact. In your daily work, you will :
1. Provide exceptional IT support to Aptiv's Vice Presidents and their teams, including immediate assistance with technical issues and escalations.
2. Work with vendors to remediate issues with audio visual tools as needed.
3. Provide timely communication on issue status and resolution.
4. Maintain ticket updates for all reported incidents.
5. Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Laptops, Desktops, Windows 10 and above OS, Office/M365, MS Teams, MS Teams Rooms, Zoom, Webex.
6. Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot printers, computer hardware.
7. Support remote and on-site meetings, including video conferences, ensuring seamless connectivity, audiovisual equipment setup, and technical assistance as needed.
8. Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers.
9. Perform remedial repairs on any other authorized peripheral equipment, such as wireless keyboards, cameras and mice.
10. Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity, and workstation hardware/software.
Your Background
11. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
12. Minimum of 5 years of IT experience with a focus on executive-level support.
13. Fluent in both English and German
14. Windows 10 and above, Microsoft Active Directory, utilization of GPOs, MS Office 365/M365, Intune, Autopilot, PC hardware installation and troubleshooting, Enterprise anti-virus solutions, helpdesk ticketing systems.
15. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or better.
16. Mobile device management including IOS and Android devices, enterprise encryption solutions (Bitlocker), Windows PC/laptop management via Active Directory and Intune.
17. Basic knowledge of Mac operating system, to support Apple PC users.
18. Proven ability to multi-task, effectively determine priorities and meet SLA’s.
19. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with senior leadership.
20. Willing to work off-hours and weekends when required for projects or emergency support
