As a Junior Project Buyer, you will support the Purchasing department with their missions. Within this framework, you will work in Zuchwill in Switzerland, for the brand Schaerer, one of the group's flagship brands, and your missions will be:
Provide the right solution to SEB’s business stakes in terms of operational performance, competitiveness, Value and Innovation, to contribute to Groupe SEB growth for his/her projects:
1. Monitor project development process with suppliers, respecting the purchasing strategies guidelines.
2. Set and formalize operational productivity action plans.
3. Monitor supplier performance and mitigate risks.
YOUR MISSIONS:
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT CONTRIBUTION:
1. Push supplier’s involvement at an early stage within project development process, seeking the best technical-economic solutions and gleaning product & services innovations.
2. Challenge business requirements, pushing for standardization.
3. Manage the allocation of new business to suppliers, define best suppliers offer within the Panel, and raise specific problems to Purchasing Category Leaders.
4. Negotiate purchasing terms for each part, according to Category Leaders price lists or standard cost breakdowns when available.
OPERATIONAL PRODUCTIVITY PLAN CONTRIBUTION:
1. Push and monitor significant and regular operational savings in terms of Total Cost: Price, Quality, Lead time, for new and current business.
2. Inform and challenge suppliers for Total Cost improvements.
SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:
1. Monitor supplier performance and mitigate the risks on his/her scope.
2. Manage Supplier Performance Review.
3. Negotiate contracts when relevant.
PURCHASING PERFORMANCE CONTRIBUTION:
1. Contribute to his/her scope purchasing objectives.
2. Contribute to yearly budget process, taking into account inputs from Category Leaders.
TOOLS and METHODS:
1. Monitor RFQ process.
2. Use purchasing tools (Sourcing Committee (SOCO), TCO, Cost breakdowns, Supplier Performance Review (SPR, …), and respect the purchasing roadmaps.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
1. With a university degree, with either a technical or a commercial background, ideally with a focus on purchasing management.
2. You ideally have a first experience in the purchasing field.
3. Good level of communication and comfortable in transversal and project management.
4. Simplify complexity, show initiative and seek for continuous improvement to maximise performance.
5. Good English skills, both written and spoken are required.
6. A good knowledge of German is important.
