System Verification Test Engineer Role
About the Role
The System Verification Test Engineer is responsible for integrating complex software and hardware components to deliver scalable test infrastructure across Meta's VR/MR/AR products. This role drives the development and deployment of new test methodologies into product bring-up and factory test processes.
Main Responsibilities
* Lead cross-functional decisions on hardware and software development and architecture, ensuring seamless integration of components.
* Validate test firmware/software releases through repeatability testing and coordinate SW quality metrics to maintain high standards.
* Troubleshoot and debug test systems and automation solutions from a software and hardware perspective, working independently with autonomy.
* Collaborate closely with systems engineers, software/firmware engineers, and project managers to define and execute a comprehensive test strategy for new AR/MR/VR products.
Key Qualifications
* Experience in developing complex hardware/software test solutions using both internal and third-party vendors.
* Proficiency in scripting languages, specifically Python.
* Demonstrated experience designing and executing development projects using a design of experiment approach (DOE) to service, troubleshoot, and solve engineering problems.
* Excellent English language proficiency and strong team collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, ideally Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, with experience as a test engineer in high-volume consumer electronics or related fields.
* Experience with camera, sensor, LED, or display testing and calibration.
* Background in factory tests and calibrations for consumer electronics products, particularly during NPI and mass production.
