We have an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor, Inventory Control (Finance)
Department Overview:
The Finance Inventory Control Department plays a critical role in ensuring that our products are accurately tracked and available to meet customer demand. The team is responsible for supporting the management of the entire product lifecycle from procurement to sale and works closely with merchandising, financial planning, customer service, logistics and operations. Additionally, the department has a significant bent towards financials: our goal is to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize excess stock, while ensuring a cost-efficient and profitable management of inventory.
What You’ll Do
Coordinate Cross-Functionally the Buy Process
Work closely with the Merchandise, FP&A and Customer Service Team for the validation of the buying process of new seasons products, specifically:
1. Providing support to target definition (IMUs + Units)
2. Analyzing impact on margins and on Inventory levels while minimizing excess stock
3. Discussing the variance vs plan with the divisional Wholesale Merch Directors
Support Forecasting Activities
Ensure precise analysis on marginality both for Wholesale and Retail & Ecommerce channels covering but not limiting to: IMUs, Off-price, Reserves, Hedge
Supervise Retail Initial Pricing Process
For all product categories, across Ecommerce, Lifestyle & Outlet channels in Europe. This includes:
4. Critical Path Definition
5. Seasonal Initial Price finance validation and uploads - consisting in collating, analyzing & executing pricing for new products each season, in each of the active currencies
6. Weekly analysis of price consistency, completeness and impact on trade
7. Partner with the Retail Buying and Pricing team to make recommendations on how to evolve the pricing process and architecture
8. Effectively Communicate with various stakeholders at all levels, to provide/receive information, resolve questions and issues, give visibility to all the involved parties
We'll need to have:
9. Proficiency with Excel / Power Point
10. RLM, MMS, Qlikview and Pricing Tool knowledge would be a plus
11. Business level knowledge of the English Language
12. Demonstrated experience within Forecasting/Controlling, Pricing, or similar roles is preferred; 3/5 years’ experience within a similar industry would be a strong plus
13. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within the team while demonstrating good interpersonal skills in People Management
